The long version: who I am, how I work, and where I have been.
Bio
I started twenty-odd years ago as a teenager, drawing a logo and cover art for a death metal band in Kotka. Everything since has come from that: the eye, the obsession with how a thing looks and feels, and a lasting pull toward occult art and the stranger corners of popular culture. Design was the trade; the esoteric was the education.
I'm not an engineer. I'm a designer and a marketer who has spent two decades building products with developers. That is a slower way to learn how software gets made, and it means I can now run most of the machine myself. I understand context and concepting, I can put working parts together in ways nobody put them together before, and complex layers of logic are where I am comfortable, which turns out to be exactly what designing automation asks for. While a room is still deciding what should be achieved, I have usually started cutting it into pieces someone can build.
Esoterica means hidden knowledge, and in practice that is what it gives me: I account for the details nobody else thinks about, the ones you cannot see but can feel. Thinking visually lets me hold the user's story from the first sketch, so a service is usable before it is built rather than repaired afterwards.
Corporate life makes you compromise. Always. This site is the receipt for what those compromises taught me. I want to build services where the user comes first: no analytics built to be sold, no behavioural data traded, no consent banners smothering the thing you came for. Usable, understandable, and shaped in a real feedback loop with the people using it.
This site sets no cookies and runs no tracking. That is why you were not asked to consent to anything.
Curiosity, willingness to develop himself and people around him. Fast, logical thinking and exceptional social skills rarely live in the same person — this time they do.

Craft
-
Product leadership
Owning a product end to end: what it is, how it performs, and where it goes next. Nine years on the same product, and a six-person team who build it. I hold the whole picture and the next buildable step at the same time.
-
Design & craft
Typographic, editorial interfaces. Spacing, rhythm and motion are part of the work, not decoration added at the end. Close to a hundred magazine issues sit underneath that, from before any of it was digital.
-
Automation & AI
Complex layers of logic are where I am comfortable, which is what designing automation asks for. I have run integration and API work for years, in job-search products and in my own projects. Learning the next thing is the part I am least willing to give up.
-
The esoteric
A standing study of symbol and structure, and the histories under them. It taught me to look at what a thing is doing when nobody is watching it.
